TRISTAN is a triennial international scientific symposium that gathers top scientists in traffic analysis, transit and shared mobility and transportation optimization. This symposium provides a high quality forum for the exchange of ideas and scientific discussions on the latest developments regarding models, methodologies, technologies and application in these fields.
TRISTAN expects around 200 participants, consisting of top research scientists from universities an research institutes from all over the world along with participants from private sectors, and public agencies. The symposium will consist of four days with scientific presentations and one day with a social tour organized for all conference participants.
For participants from the private sector and from public agencies, this symposium provides the opportunity to find scientific partners to strengthen the scientific basis of their activities. While the main focus is on scientific presentations and discussion, there will be plenty of opportunity for meeting new contacts and networking during the breaks, the lunches, the welcome reception, the conference banquet and the social tour.
Aruba aspires an environment without fossil fuel usage by 2020, and to this end is innovating the sustainability of its pedestrian, road, rail, maritime, and air transportation systems. To support this goal TRISTAN introduces the Green Transportation Award. This award will be granted to the best extended abstract in the area of sustainable transportation.
